Founded in 2006, in the centre of Glasgow, design-me are a strong, innovative and proven company of designers, specialising in mechanical, electrical and environmental engineering.
Continually pushing the boundaries with concepts and strategies, strengthening relationships and developing the most effective systems, for not only clients but also suppliers, lends us to be an integral part for any at planning stages, progressing through to design, procurement and construction then delivery, ensuring the right solutions and technologies are applied.
Working across all sectors, incorporating every aspect of construction, property development and management, we ensure we are partnered with leading architects, designers and contractors, and continually strive to promote and develop strong and open working relationships with all our clients and suppliers
– a key element to any development.
Thanks to these relationships and effectiveness we have and are currently working on projects ranging in size from £0.5 million to over £15.0 million across all sectors, locally here in Glasgow and internationally reaching as far as the Middle East.
Key projects in the last number of years for design-me have been within varying sectors, such as a leisure industry project in Malmaison Hotel, Aberdeen. This part refurbishment and part new build hotel project led to the hotel boasting over 80 bedrooms and suites, wine and whisky tasting rooms, bar restaurant and spa facility on completion. The Malmaison group regard this as their finest hotel in the UK, a principal project for design-me.
Partners, Paul Jackson and Scott White both derive from expert backgrounds in their field, working their way through the ranks, one beginning as an on-site electrical apprentice, before moving into the design departments and then switching to consultancy from contracting within a global PLC, the other within a multi-discipline (architectural lead) practice, before moving on to become Associate Mechanical Engineer in a Glasgow based design practice giving them knowledge of all levels of any project.
Since starting the company design-me have grown and developed into a team with nearly 100 years of experience and have been commissioned to work on over 300 projects with almost 170 of those projects being undertaken since expansion into our new office space.
The design-me team have a successful track record and continually push innovative ideas for the industry and plan to do so and grow with the industry over the years, developing and cementing our relationships for the benefit of all.
